Our studio is well stocked with a wide range of quality apparatus to support and challenge your movement practice

OUR STUDIO APPARATUS

Cadillac / Trapeze Table

The Cadillac or Trapeze Table resembles a four-poster bed. Served by a static platform, it offers unparalleled versatility and applications for clients of all ages and abilities. A myriad of adjustable accessories such as springs, bars and straps allow for precise isolation of movement that deeply challenges stability, strength and the body's organisation.

Reformer

The best known of all the apparatus. The Reformer delivers a unique movement experience that is both dynamic but low-impact. The client is required to coordinate the brain and body, spring-loaded carriage, two pulleys and various accessories simultaneously - where each works in support or opposition of the desired movement pattern.

Combo Chair

The modern Combo Chair is evolved from the original Wunda Chair first designed by Joseph Pilates. Reimagined with several structural and functional upgrades, the Combo Chair offers versatile challenge in a compact package.  The spring-loaded foot pedals and tall handlebars make the chair ideal for functional training like standing, sit to stand, single leg strength and balance work.

Spine Corrector

The Spine Corrector is a barrel-shaped apparatus most often used on the floor. Designed to support the spine's natural curves, it helps helps to relieve postural tension and target deep stabilisers. Highly adaptable, beginners use the Spine Corrector for support and balance, whilst advanced practitioners use it to challenge strength and spinal articulation.

Ladder Barrel

The Ladder Barrel is a spring-free apparatus comprising an elevated padded barrel connected to a wooden ladder with multiple rungs. The geometry of the apparatus serves to both support and challenge the body and mind in balance, strength, spinal articulation and proprioception.

SpringBoard

The Spring Board is a relatively modern invention that brings the versatility of the Cadillac to a group class setting. The compact, wall-mounted board provides an array of spring connection points that accommodates standing, kneeling or horizontal movement positions that utilise springs, handles, straps and bars. The Spring Board offers important functional opportunities to train unilaterally, identifying and addressing imbalances in the body.

Jumpboards

The Jumpboard is a rigid, padded board safely secured to the foot end of the Reformer. Used to re-awaken the feet, explore and challenge mobility through the ankle, knee and hip joints, and train plyometrically without gravity loading the joints - it is an important rehabilitation and training accessory .

Expect a cardio challenge from Jumpboard Reformer classes!

CardioTramp

The CardioTramp is essentially a trampoline accessory for the foot end of the Reformer that provides a softer landing than the Jumpboard, but with added challenge due to the lack of ground force reaction.

Discboard

The rotational DiscBoard is an accessory safely secured to the foot end of the Reformer. The non-slip rotating discs can be used to safely and smoothly explore and challenge range of motion - particularly useful in clients with hip or shoulder pathologies.
